[ FIG. 01 ] THE MARKETPLACE — 123K DISHES ACROSS 1,576 RESTAURANTS

[ 01 ] THE BRIEF

The domain is the moat

There are fewer than seven thousand four-letter .com domains on earth — and exactly one of them is the single most-searched word in food. Menu.com isn't branding; it's a head start measured in decades. When a restaurant gets a call to “claim your spot on menu.com,” it doesn't sound like another delivery app. It sounds official.

The job was to be worthy of the address: a marketplace where restaurants keep their margin instead of bleeding 30% to aggregators, customers trust the name in the browser bar, and onboarding feels less like a signup and more like a coronation.

Owning the address changes the math: acquisition is cheaper, trust is higher, and a 15% fee reads as fair against the 30% the aggregators take — especially when it comes with intelligence the aggregators never share.

[ 02 ] THE APPROACH

Worthy of the address

[ 01 ]

Migrate an industry overnight

1,576 restaurants — 125,224 menu items, 262,871 modifier options, nearly 50,000 images — moved from legacy infrastructure into full platform tenants with zero failures, a resumable journal, and a byte-parity cutover gate. The kind of migration you only get one shot at.

[ 02 ]

Claim by voice, sell in minutes

An owner gets an automated call, reads back a six-digit code, and the listing is theirs. Stripe Connect handles payouts, and the same Roots POS that powers our dispensaries runs the kitchen. One claim, fully operational.

[ 03 ]

Intelligence, not just listings

MenuSense reads a restaurant against up to twenty same-cuisine competitors in its radius — gap analysis, pricing benchmarks, menu penetration. The 15% that funds the platform buys insight nobody else hands a restaurant for free.

[ 04 ]

Restaurants keep their margin

Direct Stripe Connect payouts, a configurable platform fee, an embedded financial dashboard, and merchant auto-accept — the economics of owning your channel, with none of the build.
